Matt Swenson

In this role, he provides strategic direction and oversight of the daily operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC), Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), cyber threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and stakeholder engagement on behalf of CIS in support of the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC), and the Election Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center (EI-ISAC).

Before his tenure at CIS, Matthew Swenson served in various private sector roles, including as the Chief Executive Officer – North America for BlackRainbow Inc. and Senior Vice President of Digital Forensics and Incident Response at Cadien Cyber Response.

Mr. Swenson began his cyber career as a Special Agent for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), where he retired after a 20-year law enforcement career as the Division Chief of the HSI Cyber Division, overseeing the daily operations of the DHS Cyber Crimes Center in the Washington, D.C., area.Mr. Swenson holds a Master of Science in Information Security Engineering from the SANS Technology Institute.
