About Marin Ivezic

Marin Ivezic is a globally recognized cybersecurity and emerging-technology leader whose career spans more than three decades at the forefront of enterprise risk, cyber resilience, and quantum-era security. As Founder and CEO of Applied Quantum, the world’s first consultancy dedicated exclusively to quantum technologies, he helps organizations translate complex scientific breakthroughs into practical strategies that strengthen security, resilience, and long-term competitiveness. 

Throughout his career, Marin has guided large-scale security and technology transformations across multinational enterprises, governments, and critical infrastructure operators. He has previously served in senior leadership roles at IBM and Accenture and held Partner positions at PwC and KPMG, where he led cybersecurity, privacy, and emerging-technology initiatives across APAC, the Middle East, North America, and Greater China.

He has also acted as an interim Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Technology Officer for major telecommunications and financial services organizations, overseeing programs valued at hundreds of millions of dollars. These experiences have shaped his pragmatic approach to managing risk at the intersection of technology, regulation, and business strategy.

Marin’s expertise is grounded in both technical depth and long-term strategic thinking. He holds advanced degrees in engineering and telecommunications management and is currently completing doctoral research in quantum computing. His professional certifications include Certified Information Forensics Investigator (CIFI), Certified Blockchain Security Professional (CBSP), Certified Ethical Emerging Technologist, and Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP). He is also the author of numerous articles and an upcoming book, Practical Quantum Resistance, which explores how organizations can prepare for cryptographically relevant quantum computers through crypto-agility and post-quantum security planning.

Beyond corporate leadership, Marin is deeply engaged in advancing the global conversation on emerging-technology risk. He is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Cybersecurity and Digital Society expert networks, advises startups and investors focused on quantum and security innovation, and regularly speaks at conferences and board-level forums worldwide. Through his writing and public engagement, he is known for demystifying complex technologies and helping leaders make informed, resilient decisions. At the core of his work is a belief that preparedness, curiosity, and clear thinking are essential, not only to securing systems, but to responsibly shaping the future of technology itself.
