I have worked within National Grid and IT for nearly 12 years and almost half of that time has been within Security and specifically awareness and training. I started in the National Grid awareness and training team 5 years ago and have been part of building a team of awareness professionals and we now have a solid programme dedicated to:
'Building the National Grid Human Firewall to its full potential by embedding a mindset that inspires positive security behaviours in the day to day activities of our colleagues’ .
Our programme consists of a core set of bitesize eLearning modules, phishing campaigns, live escape rooms, conducting human risk assessments annually, and aligning ourself to the NIST framework and the SANS maturity model.
I live in Coventry in the UK with my husband and two children aged 5 and 3 years. My hobbies include Taekwondo and I achieved my 1stDan black belt in 2022. I enjoy travelling in the UK, Europe and further afield. Cycling is another passion whether that is on my peloton or cycle tracks with the kids.
