Over the years, Karthik has served in various technical and managerial roles, maintaining a focus on solving complex problems while balancing value and risk. As the first security engineer at Robinhood, he helped build and scale the Security, Privacy, and Trust & Safety functions, aiding the company's evolution from a startup to a publicly traded entity. Currently, he leads OpenAI's Product and Platform Security team, overseeing a specialized group committed to safeguarding user data and advanced AI models.
