About Jose Avila Gomez

Jose Avila-Gomez is a Network Architect and Technical Solutions Architect specializing in industrial and OT networking. He is responsible for Cisco’s Industrial Networking portfolio in Canada, designing and implementing defensible network architectures for critical infrastructure and Fortune 500 industrial environments, including electric utilities, oil and gas, manufacturing, mining, and transportation.

Prior to Cisco, Jose served as a Principal Industrial Consultant, leading network architecture and cybersecurity assessments for complex ICS environments. His current focus includes industrial segmentation, resilient Ethernet designs, ICS network visibility, and enabling secure, scalable, and highly available OT network infrastructures.
