Jason Nations

Jason Nations is the Field Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Stream Security, where he leads efforts to bridge the cloud security effectiveness gap for modern enterprises.

With over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, Jason is recognized for his strategic leadership in building, maturing, and operationalizing security programs across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments. Jason is known for his practical, risk-based approach to security, focusing on proactive defense strategies and real-time threat detection and response. His philosophy emphasizes closing the security gap by leveraging innovative solutions that provide immediate visibility and actionable insights into cloud threats-an approach he now champions at Stream Security.

Before joining Stream Security, Jason served as CSO at OGE Energy Corp. He was responsible for overseeing security services across a vast infrastructure, including 25 campus sites, 10 power generation facilities, and 500 plus substations. He advised executive leadership and the board on cybersecurity investments, policy, and risk reduction strategies. Jason is a US Department of Energy (DOE) OT Defender Fellow, form Chair of many industry working groups and was part of the authorship team for the DOE Cyber Security Maturity Model (C2M2). He holds multiple security certifications and is an adjunct professor of Cyber Security at Oklahoma City University.
