David Webb

David Webb is a cybersecurity leader in the energy sector, specializing in securing critical infrastructure. He currently leads a threat intel team focused on protecting the reliability and resilience of the electric grid. David is a DOE OT Defender Fellow and serves on the Midwest Reliability Organization’s Security Advisory Council, where he contributes to regional and national initiatives that strengthen utility cybersecurity.

With over a decade of experience, David holds multiple industry-recognized certifications, including CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GDSA, GRID, GCIP, GICSP, CEH, and CHFI. His work spans policy development, threat detection and response, incident management, and security architecture for industrial control systems.

David earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Information Assurance. He is a frequent speaker and panelist on topics ranging from NERC CIP compliance to emerging OT threats, and he actively works to bridge the gap between IT and OT security to keep the lights on.
