Bryson Byrd is a cybersecurity leader, educator, and advisor focused on helping organizations build practical resilience in an increasingly complex digital landscape. As a Cybersecurity Advisor at Huntress and an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Austin, Bryson bridges frontline security operations with workforce development and applied cybersecurity education.
At UT, Bryson teaches Applied Cybersecurity Clinic Practicum coursework, helping prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals through hands-on, real-world learning experiences. His work in both industry and academia centers on making cybersecurity more practical, accessible, and sustainable for organizations navigating rapid digital transformation.
Prior to joining Huntress, Bryson served as a CISO for a managed service provider (MSP), following earlier roles spanning systems administration, incident response, and business continuity engineering. Throughout his career, he has focused on supporting under-resourced organizations facing growing cybersecurity challenges while balancing limited staffing, operational demands, and evolving technology environments.
Bryson is focused on making a positive impact and helping the most vulnerable people and businesses navigate the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape while simultaneously growing the next generation of diverse leaders.
