Contact UsBen Scott, Fortinet Public Sector Systems Engineer, Ohio Cyber Reservist, and Adjunct Professor, brings over a decade of experience in cybersecurity, specializing in network security and operational technology (ICS/OT/SCADA/IIoT) cybersecurity. He holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University, is an EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker, a CompTIA Security+ certificate holder, and possesses numerous other industry certifications.
At Fortinet, Ben partners with the State of Ohio government and higher education institutions, shaping and enhancing their cybersecurity strategies to enable digital transformation while safeguarding their networks, data, and critical infrastructure from cyber threats.
Ben has dedicated his career to protecting society and fostering a more cyber-secure environment locally and globally. Widely regarded as a trusted advisor, he is committed to advancing digital resilience and safety through education, leadership, and technical excellence.
Prior to joining Fortinet, Ben was a Senior Solution Architect at Dragos, Inc., where he worked with organizations in the critical infrastructure sector to secure their operational technology environments against emerging cyber threats.
Ben is also actively involved in Ohio's cybersecurity community, serving as a member of the Columbus (CS)²AI Chapter, Central Ohio InfraGard Members Alliance, and Central Ohio ISSA. He was recognized as one of The Advocate’s 20 Under 40 in 2022, received the Distinguished Graduate Award in 2023 from Western Governors University, and was honored by the General Assembly of The State of Ohio Senate for Outstanding Attainment.
