About Anne Neuberger

Anne Neuberger is a national security and technology leader with experience spanning the White House, the intelligence community, and the private sector. From 2021 to 2024, she served as Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technology, where she led U.S. cyber and technology policy, coordinated responses to major national cyber

incidents, and built international coalitions, including the 70-nation Counter Ransomware Initiative.

During her tenure at the National Security Agency, she served as a senior intelligence leader overseeing global operations and multi-billion-dollar programs, as Chief Risk Officer, the first in the agency’s history; and as Director of Cybersecurity, founding and leading NSA’s first Cybersecurity Directorate. She was awarded DoD and NSA’s highest civilian medals.

Currently, Neuberger is a Strategic Advisor at Andreessen Horowitz, Lecturer at Stanford University, Board Member at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), and Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI). Her career is defined by advancing innovation in defense and intelligence, fostering public-private collaboration, and shaping the global conversation on innovation, resilience and emerging technologies.
