Remote access to ICS environments was for a long time a no-go, yet during pandemic times all of a sudden these environments were connected to the Internet - in its good or bad ways - yet impact, implications and hidden dangers are often forgotten.

Nowadays, there is a debate what solution that should be used (supplier or asset owner provided solution).This talk will touch on the different aspects of a secure remote access and its hidden dangers, also links to NIS2 and IEC62443 will be mentioned.
