About the Program

The SANS North America Summit Volunteer Program is a popular and competitive way for professionals to attend two-day SANS Summits in-person for free, in exchange for their assistance with the Summit.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Summit Volunteers assist staff with various tasks assigned by the event supervisor. They work closely with the team onsite and are responsible for assisting with:

  • Event setup the day before the Summit
  • Registration support
  • Facilitating Q&A sessions
  • Communicating with support teams when help is needed
  • Distributing student evaluations
  • Tear down at the end of the Summit
  • Additional tasks as needed

Program Qualifications

Qualification for the program requires:

  • Application via the form below.
  • A demonstration of strong organization, support, and leadership skills.
  • Dependability, ability to follow directions, and attentiveness and conscientiousness.
