The Black History Month BootUp CTF offers challenge-based learning for participants at all levels. This year marks the centennial of Black History Month, recognizing 100 years of honoring the achievements and lasting impact of Black communities. The event reflects that legacy while providing an open, skills-first learning experience for anyone looking to build practical cybersecurity capabilities. Whether you are exploring cybersecurity for the first time or strengthening intermediate skills, the event delivers hands-on practice with concepts used in real-world environments.

Key Dates

This 72-hour event allows participants to work at their own pace throughout the challenge window.

  • Registration closes: February 24
  • Orientation webinar: February 26 at 1:00 PM EST
  • CTF starts: February 27 at 9:00 AM EST
  • CTF ends: March 2 at 9:00 AM EST
