From ICS Cyber Security Maturity to Ground Truth - The case for ICS Cyber Security Assessments

This community night presentation will provide an overview of the ICS Cyber Security Assessment methodology as taught in ICS613: ICS/OT Penetration Testing & Assessments. Bruce will provide an overview of the key topics from ICS613, including top-down versus bottom-up assessments, and how asset operators can use assessment and testing to determine the ground truth of cybersecurity for their industrial control systems.

Key topics discussed will be:

An introduction to the SANS ICS Assessment Methodology
Top-down versus bottom-up assessments and when to use them
How to work with asset operators to get the best out of an ICS security assessment
Guidance on equipment bench testing

Bruce will also bring his ICS613 Student Kit to demonstrate one of the course labs.
