SEC536: Adversarial AI - Penetration Testing AI Systems

The GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD) certification proves you can implement preventive, detective, and reactionary techniques to defend cloud-based workloads. It covers identity and access management, secure compute and configuration, data protection, network security monitoring, and compliance and incident response across single and multi-cloud environments.
The GCLD exam is a single, proctored, 2-hour exam with 75 questions and a minimum passing score of 61%. GIAC periodically reviews and may update these specifications, so confirm the current exam format in the Certification Information section of your GIAC account before your attempt.
GIAC certifications are renewed on a recurring cycle through continuing education credits and a maintenance fee. For the current renewal requirements, see GIAC’s renewal page.
GCLD is built for security engineers, analysts, managers, and auditors, system administrators, risk managers, and anyone responsible for securing cloud environments. Among SEC502 students, that also includes cloud architects, compliance officers, and network engineers moving into cloud security roles.
SEC502: Cloud Security Tactical Defense is the SANS course built for GCLD. It covers identity and access management, compute and configuration security, data protection, networking and detection, and compliance and incident response through 40 hands-on labs and a capstone CloudWars Capture the Flag challenge across AWS and Azure environments.
