For the person responsible for putting together a security policy determining what information is sensitive and what may be published will be one of the most challenging aspects of the process. In this report one will learn about the differences between classified and unclassified information. One will also learn about the many names by which sensitive information may be labeled. The history of the United States laws that affect the dissemination of sensitive information is addressed and guidance is provided for identifying and protecting sensitive information.
