SANS Services Cup VIP Reception

On behalf of the SANS Institute, we invite you to a free exclusive VIP Reception on Sunday, December 14, 2025, to kick-off the 10ᵗʰ Annual SANS Services Cup held during SANS Cyber Defense Initiative® Washington, D.C.

Date: Sunday, December 14, 2025

Time: 5:30 PM – 6:45 PM (Reception opens 5:15PM, program concludes prior to competition kick-off at 6:30PM)

Location: International Ballroom EAST, Washington Hilton, 1919 Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.

Dress Code: Business

Program Highlights:

  • Welcome remarks by Brig Gen Joy Kaczor , Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Warfighter Communications and Cyber Systems, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Va.

  • Introductions of the 2025 Services Cup teams representing the U.S. DoD services
  • A short toast to opening the competition and recognizing past champions
  • Networking and light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments

Following the reception, guests are welcome to stay and observe Night 1 of the competition, beginning at 6:45 PM.

About the Services Cup

The SANS Services Cup (now in its 10ᵗʰ year) is an exclusive cybersecurity challenge reserved for U.S. Department of Defense service teams. The competition showcases each branch’s elite cyber defense talent as they engage in hands-on, high-stakes challenges. The winning team earns the right to represent the U.S. in the 2026 International Services Cup. 

In 2025, the event takes place on December 14–15 at the Washington Hilton, where teams from the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, Space Force, and their reserve components will compete.
