Contact UsDesigned to equip individuals from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds, the Allianz Cyber Talent Academy provided participants with the skills, certifications and support needed to launch successful careers in cybersecurity. Through world-class training, industry partnerships, and a focus on long-term impact, the Academy built an inclusive talent pipeline that reflected the diversity of today’s digital world and its challenges and threats.

Ralf Schneider, Allianz, Senior Fellow and Head of Cybersecurity and NextGenIT, shares how the pilot program, developed in partnership with SANS Institute, helped reshape how the industry discovered and developed cybersecurity talent.
With over 1,000 applicants and strong early outcomes, the pilot demonstrated a scalable, inclusive model for building cyber workforce resilience across industries and geographies.
At SANS Institute, we believe that building a resilient cybersecurity workforce means investing in people from all walks of life. We are proud to have supported the Allianz Cyber Talent Academy with a co-funding model that lowered barriers to entry.
By focusing on access, opportunity, and skill development, the Academy enabled individuals, regardless of background or prior experience, to gain the training and certifications needed to enter and thrive in the cybersecurity profession.

The program included a curated selection of SANS courses designed to build the technical and communication skills essential for a successful cybersecurity career. Support was provided throughout the program to ensure workplace readiness for participants.

The Cyber Talent Academy was more than a talent pipeline; it was a strategic investment in collective cyber resilience, building a strong line of defence around what we value most through Corporate Social Responsibility in action.
For Lucide Pascale, a graduate from Rwanda, the Academy helped shape her career path: “With the skills I have learned, I am able to protect IT systems from hackers, something that I have learned to love and therefore would like to make it my profession. With all that I have learned, I can empower and inspire other young women who want to enter the field of cybersecurity.”
