When Skids Attack: Why Teenagers Understand Your Attack Surface Better Than You Do, and How To Fix It Presented by Steven Harris
Recently we have seen that teenagers were able to compromise the networks of large companies like Uber or T Mobile. This talk discusses real life cases from law enforcement and the cyber security industry that an organization's attack surface is often wider than we imagine, why teenage hackers succeed when pentesters fail, and how you can better understand what your attack surface really looks like.
The evolution of phishing, how adversaries use proxy in the middle to bypass MFA Presented by Jean-François Maes
In this talk Certified SANS instructor Jean-Francois Maes is going to walk you through the history of phishing, and how threat actors adapt when defences become stronger, including ways of bypassing MFA authentication.
I'm Just a Little Dark Rain Cloud Presented by Aaron Cure
Today’s cloud environments are large, multi-faceted, and dispersed. They have a myriad of options for selection, configuration, security, and functionality. Add on more than one of these environments (AWS, GC, Azure, Oracle, Digital Ocean, etc) and the number of potential issues skyrocket! If you have custom applications, developers, databases, and any of the hundreds of other common items in your arena, your chances of having exposed vulnerabilities becomes almost inevitable. Watch as we discover, attack, and plunder a typically configured cloud environment, all while providing you with ways to discover and protect your own environments.
