By not trusting by default anything and everything inside and outside of your networks, the 'zero trust ' concept protects against attacks and breaches. Although zero trust has focused on network access control (NAC) and identity management, as threats evolve, security professionals are expanding the notion of zero trust to ensure that traffic is examined.

In this new SANS webcast and associated paper, SANS Senior Instructor Dave Shackleford and Gigamon's Ricardo Font will talk about effective implementation of zero trust. They will address key concepts and discuss additional weapons: monitoring, including discovery, deployment, detection and response. Attendees also will learn some best practices.
