Hands-on Workshop: Forensic Analysis of Apple IoT Devices (Apple Watch, TV, HomePod, HomeKit)
Digital Forensics analysis of Apple devices other than iPhones and iPads: current possibilities and limits. Techniques to acquire Apple Watch, Apple TV and Apple HomePod will be discussed, as well as the analysis of extracted data with practical labs.
Learning objectives:
- Overview of different Apple devices like Watch, TV, HomePod and their history over the time
- Apple Watch: acquisition and analysis techniques
- Apple TV: acquisition and analysis techniques
- Apple HomePod and HomeKit: acquisition and analysis techniques
Requirements:
This is a 3-hour hands-on lab. If the Attendees want to actively participate during the workshop a laptop is required. A Windows PC (or a Windows VM) with at least 8 GB of RAM and 20 GB of hard disk space is required. Link to download the dataset and tools will be provided via email in the upcoming weeks and during the event.
