Conan Beach

Conan has more than twenty years of federal law enforcement experience. He spent the last decade conducting criminal investigations of cyber enabled crimes. These investigations involved sim swapping, the darkweb, cryptocurrency, network intrusions, ransomware, business email compromise (BEC), digital forensics, and fraud. He is a sought-after instructor and speaker who has taught Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Social Media Intelligence (SOCMINT), complex law enforcement investigations, online undercover, darkweb, and cryptocurrency classes. He is passionate about educating and mentoring investigators on all things cyber so they can learn to leverage the extensive sources of intelligence the internet provides.

Due to his experience in these fields, Conan has recently been asked to co-author the SANS FOR589 Cybercrime Intelligence course covering dark web threat hunting, blockchain forensics & intelligence operations.  

 

Conan is certified as a Network Intrusion First Responder (NIFR) and holds several SANS / GIAC certifications. He previously worked in the intelligence field covering Human Intelligence (HUMINT) and source operations. He also spent more than a decade with two different federal tactical teams as a medic and a FAA Part 107 licensed Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) / drone pilot. 

 

In his spare time, Conan enjoys spending too much time and money chasing birdies on the golf course, mountain biking, fútbol, and anything outdoors.
