Here's how to register:
**The discount can only be applied to registrations attached to a military email address**
Step 1: Check your eligibility - Coast Guard's CA Eligibility Requirements
Step 2: Apply for credentialing assistance via the MyCG Ed Portal. Applications for CA must be submitted 14 calendar days before incurring any fees. Separate CA applications are required for training courses and exams. Ensure your ESO approves your application and generates an Credentialing Assistance Authorization.
Step 3: Review the Coast Guard COOL SANS Approved Courses / Credentials
Step 4: Create a SANS Portal Account using your military email address if you do not already have one.
Step 5: If you already have a SANS Portal Account using your military email address, log into your SANS Portal Account and register for your Coast Guard COOL SANS-approved course.
STEP 6: For the payment method, check "Call in Credit Card."
STEP 7: Send your SANS Registration and CA Authorization form to CGCOOL@sans.org to have your registration discounted and shipping fees waived.
** Credentialing Assistance Authorization form must be provided at this time**
STEP 8: Phone in credit card payment to SANS Customer Support at 301-654-7267. Once payment is received, we will send you a receipt. You will then receive access to your course within 24 hours. Books will be shipped and you will receive a tracking number.
