As the cybersecurity talent shortage persists, withan estimated 700,000 unfilled jobs, the industry needs to redouble its efforts to attract and retain workers. One important way to accomplish this is by recognizing that jobs and workplaces can’t be “one size fits all.” As many as 20% of adults are neurodivergent, and when we fail to account for the unique strengths, experiences, and challenges of neurodivergent cybersecurity professionals, we miss opportunities to build the best teams.

Neurodivergent (ND) people have brains that function in ways other than what is considered standard or “neurotypical” (NT). Examples of neurodivergence include but are not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and synesthesia. These types of neurodivergence are not mutually exclusive, meaning an individual might be on the autism spectrum and also have ADHD, for example.

This Summit, back by popular demand, will be loaded with content developed by and for ND cybersecurity professionals, but will also be invaluable to anyone who manages, reports to, works with, or just wants to support ND colleagues and friends.

What Attendees Say

"This was one of the most valuable conferences I've ever attended. I felt so much of what the presenters were describing and I've come away with a list of resources and ideas to make my life better. Very grateful this was put on." - Dorian Bates

"I live with ADHD and found many tools in this summit that will help my professional career and personal life. Thank you for providing this event for a subject that is not well understood, even by those who have been diagnosed for years, such as myself." - Peter Gold

"This was an amazing experience. I always knew there was something different about me and listening to the speakers, it seems I have found my people. It was interesting to hear how the speakers use our unique quirks to be superhero's in tech." - Jen Beedie
