What is the Virginia Cyber Skills Academies?
SANS is proud to be a partner and training provider of the Virgina Cyber Skills Academies.
The Virginia Cyber Skills Academies is run in partnership with the Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu funded by the State of VA DHCD Economic Resilience and Recovery grant with additional support from local government and community partners.This free program consists of two tracks.
The Virginia Cyber Reskilling Academy provides technical skills training, multiple industry recognized certifications, and soft skills development to individuals with limited-to-no cybersecurity experience, who have been negatively impacted by COVID, to prepare them for a career in the field and accelerate their job search through a network of employer partners.

The Virginia Cyber Upskilling Academy will provide SANS hands-on training and advanced GIAC certification to advance the skills of existing IT/Cyber Security Professionals who have experienced a negative impact due to COVID-19, allowing them to accelerate their career progression
