Given the complexity of the modern network and the sophisticated nature of attacks, organizations continue to need visibility and security analytics tools to help them see and pinpoint threats lurking within their networks.

Recent global circumstances have created a scenario where the majority of hosts on a network are remote. Using Cisco Stealthwatch as an example, this session will discuss how to gain and leverage visibility and analytics into host activity in order to best secure and optimize enterprise networks in this new reality.

Matthew Robertson

Matthew Robertson is a Principal Engineer in Cisco’s Security Business Group focused on security analytics and the behavior analytics. Matt is passionate about leveraging network telemetry in order to better increase security posture: from gaining visibility to designing polices through the application of analytics and machine learning to detect threats. Matt holds both bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Waterloo and is a frequent speaker around the world at leading network security conferences on a variety of topics.
