Speaker Bios

Tom Stitt

Tom Stitt is Senior Director of Security Product Marketing for ExtraHop. Stitt has more than 18 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security technologies in various product management, marketing and business development roles. He started in the IT security industry over 15 years ago when he was part of the founding team at Internet Security Systems, a pioneer in advanced threat detection. Stitt holds a M.S.E. from University of Alabama, and when not engaged in stopping the latest cyber threats,he can be found cycling the beautiful back roads of north Georgia.


Brian McMahon

Brian McMahon is a Technical Marketing Engineer in Cisco's Security Business Group, working on Advanced Threat Solutions, with over twenty years of experience in various aspects of information security and network protection. He spent several years in Cisco TAC in the late 1990s, originally as part of the TGV MultiNet acquisition, and has also held various roles in academic computing, teaching, and several security start-ups.

Brian returned to Cisco in 2010 to develop interopeability verification and documentation for the SIEM ecosystem project; he went on to help build the working relationship with Lancope that culminated in that company's successful acquisition by Cisco and integration of the Stealthwatch product portfolio into our suite of advanced threat defenses.

Brian's current main area of focus is the Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) product set, with a particular emphasis on improving information workflows for incident responders. He holds several GIAC certifications, as well as the now-retired ISP-Dial variant of the CCIE (#4205), and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian from Grinnell College.
