Speaker Bios

G.W. Ray Davidson, PhD

G. W. Ray Davidson, PhD, is the former dean of academic affairs for the SANS Technology Institute. He continues to serve as a mentor, subject matter expert and technical reviewer for the SANS Institute and holds several GIAC certifications. Ray started his career as a research scientist and subsequently led global security projects for a major pharmaceutical company. He has taught at the college level and cofounded a security startup. Ray is currently the program manager of the Michigan Cyber Civilian Corps.


Dana Torgersen

Dana Torgersen is a veteran product marketer who cut his teeth in network and data center security while at Secure Computing, McAfee, Palo Alto Networks, and security startup Illumio. He heads up Product Marketing for Malwarebytes, encouraging individuals and businesses to protect their endpoints against malware and exploit-based threats.


Jean-Philippe Taggart

Jean-Philippe has over 10 years of experience in cyber security. He's an incorrigible technophile who loves to break stuff and habitually voids warranties. He's a special interest in hardware hacking, honeypots, and evading the bad guys when detonating samples.
