CompTIA's first entry in their "Mastery Series of Exams" is the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner, a hand-on technical exam with a mix of deeper technical questions, as well as higher-level management questions. It is the logical follow-up to CompTIA's Security+ exam, and can be thought of as a technical alternative to the CISSP exam. CASP has been added to DoD 8570 for the following roles: IAT Level III, IAM Level II, and IASAE Levels I and II.

The exam is demanding, including a mix of multiple choice questions and hands-on technical simulations. This webcast will describe the CASP exam, and what it takes to pass it.
