McAfee Real Time Command (RT Command) offers administrators, auditors, and security operations teams an immediate glimpse into the state of systems in the environment. With an "on demand" system for pulling local security configuration, system state, or security-specific events and attributes from systems, organizations now have a dashboard that provides visibility across all systems with McAfee Real Time installed. In addition, the interface offers an intuitive "native language" query style that aids security professionals in finding information quickly. In this review, we delve into Real Time's interface, focusing on usability, functionality, and how the product would play a role in operations and security environments today. The use cases for this tool are many, but the focus of the review is primarily on security awareness, systems administration, and security event monitoring and incident response.
