After having looked at static analysis in the previous webcast, it's now time to take a look at dynamic analysis. How much information you can get out of an application at runtime once again depends on the framework used to create the application, though there are some basic tools you can always use. Dynamic analysis offers some advantages over static analysis, though it does come with its own set of potential problems. Some applications, such as mobile games or malware actively try to prevent dynamic analysis by building in various controls to detect when they are being analyzed, or just prevent dynamic tools from working all together.
