Overview

The mobile application development landscape is still evolving. To keep up with the major changes to mobile computing, the DEV531 Defending Mobile Applications Security Essentials course is releasing a new version, starting with the SANS Security West 2017 event in San Diego, CA.

This update includes a review of Enterprise Mobility Management, fingerprint authentication for both Android and iOS, and new tools to help assist in the analysis and testing of a mobile app's security. Join us to review the new advancements in this great course and see some live demonstrations in Android and iOS.

Speaker Bio

Gregory Leonard

Gregory Leonard is a co-author and instructor for the SANS DEV541 "Secure Coding in Java/JEE" course and holds the GSSP-Java certification. He has more than 17 years of experience in software development, with an emphasis on writing large-scale enterprise applications. Greg's responsibilities over the course of his career have included ensuring application architecture and security, performing infrastructure design and implementation, providing security analysis, conducting code reviews and evaluating performance diagnostics. He is currently an application security consultant at Optiv Security.
