Speaker Bio

Brandon Newport

Brandon Newport brings more than 25 years of experience in the security industry to his role leading Cisco’s Access and Endpoint SE team in North America.

During his career, Brandon has personally designed and deployed many highly-secured environments, including two C2 certified environments for private sector connectivity to US Military facilities. He has also spent much of his career working as a threat investigator, having been brought in to lead threat investigations for several well-known organizations.

Brandon is a passionate advocate for security through education and via building trusted communities for security practitioners. In the past several years he pioneered Cisco’s Threat Hunting Workshop series, designed to teach people how to think about Incident Response and Threat Hunting. Mr. Newport lives in Western North Carolina with his wife and three kids.
