Overview

Securing applications in cloud environments presents a number of challenges, many of which are new to practitioners accustomed to working with on-premises infrastructure. How should practitioners secure the pipeline of apps that are currently in development or being updated? In this prerecorded webcast with SANS author Nathan Getty, Fortinet's Aidan Walden, and David Aiken of AWS, learn how to understand the applications your organization is planning to deploy and their associated consequences; best practices to deploy applications within the AWS environment; and how to secure application delivery in the context of the cloud.

Specific, hands-on implementation options to protect apps in the pipeline will be addressed, including the many tools offered by AWS and how custom and open-source applications can also be installed on infrastructure within your environment. Speakers also will talk about how to use access control for AWS services and applications, as well as services for securing application deployment and delivery. Attendees will learn tactics and techniques for using resources and ideas for planning future app development. Be among the first to receive the associated whitepaper written by SANS Analyst and cybersecurity specialist Nathan Getty.
