Overview

Why are targeted attacks a critical threat to cybersecurity infrastructure?

The threat actors behind targeted attacks have long-term goals in mind (political, monetary, trade secrets, etc.). They are willing to play a long game with a target until their goals are met, circumventing any security tools in their way.

In this SANS Webcast, step into the mind of a threat actor carrying out a targeted attack. SANS Analyst Brandon McCrills, VMRay Sr. Threat Researcher Tamas Boczan and Solutions Engineer Ben Abbott will show you:

  • The primary delivery methods for a targeted attack
  • Real-world examples of context-aware malware that circumvent detection
  • Tips for building a better defense
