Cyber42 Game Day: Security Capabilities

  • Tuesday, 25 May 2021 10:30AM EDT (25 May 2021 14:30 UTC)
  • Speakers: Russell Eubanks, Kevin Garvey

In this Game Day you will play to win the Cyber42 Security Capabilities simulation! This 90-minute version of the game represents how well your fictional organization builds and leads a security program. It is about balancing the implementation of various security controls to build a well-rounded program and, ultimately, create lasting security improvement. The score is measured by dials representing Identity, Protect, and Respond which show how much your team has implemented for each of these areas. During the game, as developed for MGT512: Security Leadership Essentials for Managers, you will see that the actions you chose can have uncertain and even unintended consequences. '

This interactive simulation puts you in real-world scenarios that spur discussion, critical thinking of situations, and melding of different points of view and personalities that you will likely encounter at work. Winning the game is simple. You need to have the highest score, which represents how well you have adapted and implemented the security program.
