Dave Shackleford, a SANS analyst, instructor, course author, GIAC technical director and member of the board of directors for the SANS Technology Institute, is the founder and principal consultant with Voodoo Security. He has consulted with hundreds of organizations in the areas of security, regulatory compliance, and network architecture and engineering. A VMware vExpert, Dave has extensive experience designing and configuring secure virtualized infrastructures. He previously worked as chief security officer for Configuresoft and CTO for the Center for Internet Security. Dave currently helps lead the Atlanta chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance.
Paul Bowen, Principal Security Technologist with Arbor Networks, focuses on advanced threat detection and mitigation with Arbor’s new Spectrum Platform. Paul has over 20 years’ industry experience. He started out at Estee Lauder, gaining a decade of experience as a manager of global security before moving from being a security consumer to a security vendor. Paul spent almost a decade at Arcsight before transitioning to being a strategic evangelist from the Office of Advanced Technology for HP. Before joining Arbor Networks he spent a year with Mandiant and another year with Fortinet.
Robert Simmons is the director of research innovation at ThreatConnect, Inc. With an expertise in building automated malware analysis systems based on open source tools, he has been tracking malware and phishing attacks and picking them apart for years. Robert is also the author of PlagueScanner, an open source virus scanner framework. Robert, also known as Utkonos, has a background in biology, linguistics and Russian area studies. He has lived extensively in Russia and Ukraine.
Zach Hill leads the sales team at DomainTools and is responsible for driving the enterprise go-to-market strategy globally. He focuses on developing and supporting the DomainTools presence within large corporations, governments and channel partners around the world. With more than 15 years of strategic sales and business strategy experience, Zach has led successful sales efforts and process improvements within organizations both large and small. He is a graduate of the University of Washington Business School with an emphasis on marketing and a certificate in entrepreneurship.
