Speaker Bios

Robert M. Lee

Robert M. Lee, a SANS certified instructor and author of ICS515 ICS Active Defense and Incident Response and FOR578 Cyber Threat Intelligence courses, is the founder and CEO of Dragos, a critical infrastructure cyber security company, where he focuses on control system traffic analysis, incident response and threat intelligence research. He has performed defense, intelligence and attack missions in various government organizations, including the establishment of a first-of-its-kind ICS/SCADA cyber threat intelligence and intrusion analysis mission. Author of SCADA and Me and a nonresident National Cyber Security Fellow at New America, focusing on critical infrastructure cyber security policy issues, Robert was named EnergySec’s 2015 Energy Sector Security Professional of the Year.

Omer Carmi

Omer Carmi is Vice President of Intelligence at Sixgill, where he leads the company's intelligence analysis and methodology, and directs a team of highly qualified cyber threat analysts. Omer has a decade of experience in analytical and research efforts in the Israel Defense Forces. During this time, he led diverse projects pertaining to developments in the Middle East and national security arenas, for which he received various honors and awards. Prior to working at Sixgill, Omer was a visiting fellow in a DC think tank in the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

AJ Nash

AJ Nash is the Sr. Director of Cyber Intelligence Strategy for Anomali. As a cyber intelligence strategist and public speaker, he is primarily focused on building cyber intelligence programs that capitalize on disparate data and information to protect personnel, facilities, data, and information systems. AJ honed his skills across 18 years of military service and defense contracting, serving in roles focused on intelligence collection, analysis, reporting, and briefing. AJ still occasionally consults within the intelligence community and maintains a Top Secret clearance with a full-scope polygraph. AJ holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College and a Masters of Arts (M.A.) in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.

Joe Slowik

Joe Slowik, Senior Security Researcher at DomainTools, has over a decade of experience across multiple cyber disciplines. From work in the US Navy, to the US Department of Energy and Los Alamos National Laboratory, to industrial control security company Dragos, Joe has covered multiple facets of cyber intrusions and critical infrastructure defense. At DomainTools, Joe continues his work tracking state-sponsored and criminal threats to enterprises with an emphasis on critical infrastructure and related targets.
