Wilfredo Santiago brings 9+ years of experience in information security, threat intelligence, and incident response, specifically tracking nation-state ransomware groups and Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs). Before joining Blackpoint Cyber, he worked for the National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Defense (DoD), a Fortune 500 financial services firm, and served in the US Navy. Currently at Blackpoint Cyber, Wilfredo is the Director of Threat Operations where he maintains the day-to-day operations of the company’s Security Operations Center (SOC) while leading their best-in-class threat hunting practices. Wilfredo is also a GIAC Certified Incident Handler, GIAC Certified Windows Security Administrator, and GIAC Penetration Tester – all skills that he employs daily to help his partners thwart adversaries.
