Tj Nelson

Tj Nelson is the Director of Threat Research at Secureworks, where he runs a team that creates detection logic for several security platforms. Prior to Secureworks he worked in the malware research and incident response fields. He organizes his local Security BSides conference and leads a local information security group. TJ holds SANS certifications for GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware, GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst, GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester, GIAC Penetration Tester, GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst and GIAC Incident Handler. In addition to numerous industry certifications, TJ has a B.S. from Rochester Institute of Technology and a M.S. from Boston University and is currently pursuing his Ph.D.
