Upon leaving Active Duty Bob entered the Air Force Reserves for 10 years where he continued instructing and worked as an evaluator for search and rescue and intelligence gathering exercises for State level agencies and Homeland Security.
As a civilian he worked for a national training organization designing courseware and managing technical operations. He overseen e-learning initiatives and contributed to the organization?s accreditation.
Bob currently works for a Software as a Service provider that services charitable foundations and financial institutions where he is responsible for program management, compliance, SOC operations, penetration testing, and privacy. He has also consulted and presented to several organizations over the past 10 years on beginning and managing their information security programs. He is a frequent presenter on varying information security topics and has presented at numerous information security and financial industry conferences.
Bob has completed numerous technology courses from the Air Force and commercial providers and has a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems with a concentration in Security Administration from Strayer University.
He is an advocate that defenders must be capable of blue team functions as well as red team to be successful and has earned GCIH, GPEN and GWAPT certifications. He has also achieved other certifications including the CISSP, GSEC, and IAPP/E.
After 25 years in Information Security, Bob is a firm believer that to be successful we must evolve with the threat landscape by continuing to learn.
