Laios Barbosa

Laios Barbosa has over 15 years of experience in IT, with the last 10 years focused in cybersecurity. He has a Computer Engineering degree from the Military Institute of Engineering (IME) and a specialization in Information Security. He is a Brazilian Army Officer working as an Information Security Manager coordinating multiple teams in the Brazilian Army Incident Handling Center. He was responsible for administering and defending military systems and networks, composed of multiple operating systems, as well as several equipment and defense enterprise solutions. He is now a principal instructor of Pentest, Red Team and Cyber Defense for the Brazilian Armed Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force). He worked for the United Nations (UN) in Haiti as a peacekeeper and a system and network administrator of the Brazilian Battalion. During his 7-year stay in the Brazilian Ministry of Defense he was responsible for the integration and security of different Systems and Networks of the Brazilian Armed Forces at global events like Confederations Cup 2013, World Cup 2014, and Olympic Games Rio 2016.

As a great enthusiast of Capture The Flag (CTF) games, Laios has been a winner of CORE, DFIR, and Cyber Defense NetWars competitions and a Tournament of Champions winner as a solo and team player.

Laios was always passionate about mentoring, teaching and sharing knowledge, especially about Pentesting, Red Teaming, Exploit Development and Incident Handling. In his spare time he loves to surf and play with his kids.
