Katsunari Yoshioka is a Professor at the Graduate School of Environment and Information Sciences and the Institute of Advanced Sciences at Yokohama National University, where he also serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He holds a Doctor of Engineering degree and has been actively involved in research and development at the Network Incident Analysis Center for Tactical Emergency Response (NICTER) at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) since 2005. Beginning in 2008, he expanded his focus to cyber security research and development at Yokohama National University. He has received several accolades for his contributions, including the Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2009, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award for distinguished service in industry-academia-government collaboration in 2016, and the Information Security Culture Award in 2017. He has also served as a member of numerous expert committees for the National center of Incident readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry.
