Judy got her introduction into the world of cybersecurity and traffic analysis working on a DoD computer incident and response team. She is the author of SANS SEC503: Intrusion Detection In-Depth. She is the co-author, along with Stephen Northcutt, of Network Intrusion Detection - An Analysts Handbook (2nd/3rd Edition) and a SANS senior instructor. She is a 2010 recipient of a SANS Lifetime Achievement award.
