Janet is an avid Information Security, Privacy and Risk Management professional with a solid technical background and a highly analytical mind. She has served as a CISO at the University of Nairobi, Kenya for 9 years. She is currently an Information Security Officer at Church World Service where she works to enhance the Cyber resilience by conducting bespoke assessments and developing Cybersecurity strategies to safeguard against Cyber threats. She is responsible for overseeing the implementation of organizational policies and procedures as well as engaging implementing partners and various stakeholders in the refugee resettlement space for cybersecurity assurance of USRAP programmatic activities across sub-Saharan Africa. Janet has extensive experience in information security ranging from Information security Awareness and Training, Risk assessment, Gap analysis, IT security Audit and Compliance, Executive Metrics, Cloud and Mobile Security, Cyber insurance, Vulnerability Management, and Privacy.
