Dr. James Doodson is a Lead Behavioral Scientist at The MITRE Corporation, where he applies behavioral sciences to critical national cybersecurity issues and manages MITRE’s Insider Threat Lab. Joining MITRE’s Human Behavior & Cybersecurity Capability in 2017, James has held technical and leadership roles on diverse research work on insider threat, usable security and cyber emergency response. Prior to MITRE, James worked at the Universities of Leicester, Lancaster, and Portsmouth, UK, conducting quantitative and qualitative psychological research into insider threat, deception, risk and identity. James holds a Ph.D. and bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in research methodology, each from the University of Bath, UK. He is an alumnus of the UK Centre for Research & Evidence on Security Threats.
