Bethesda, Md. – The critical need for cyber talent has prompted the SANS Institute, the world's largest information security training and certification organization, to announce a partnership with NinjaJobs, an exclusive community of information technology veterans devoted to helping companies find vetted, experienced cybersecurity professionals. NinjaJobs will enhance their existing portal to help graduates of the SANS CyberTalent Academies secure jobs with top employers in the information security industry.
SANS CyberTalent Immersion Academies are a series of three- to four-month intensive training programs for veterans (VetSuccess Academies) and women (Women's Immersion Academy) across the nation. The Academies are designed for veterans and women with aptitude and an interest in entering the cybersecurity workforce. Academy tuition is 100% scholarship based and is valued at up to $30,000, depending on the curriculum selected. SANS, founded in 1989, has trained more than 165,000 information security professionals around the globe.
"We are very pleased to announce this exciting partnership with NinjaJobs," noted Jim Michaud, Director of Cyber Talent Solutions, SANS Institute. "The company's ability to assist graduates of the SANS CyberTalent Immersion Academies is outstanding. This innovative approach will help ensure Academy students obtain rewarding careers in cybersecurity."
"We are excited to partner with SANS, the most trusted source for cyber training, to place their top talent with corporate clients searching for skilled cybersecurity experts," explained Chris Camacho, CEO of NinjaJobs. "This collaboration with SANS CyberTalent Immersion Academies trained veterans and women unlocks a diverse new pipeline of unmatched talent that's perfect for the NinjaJob's community."
In addition to working together on the SANS CyberTalent Immersion Academies, NinjaJobs and SANS plan to collaborate on a number of other initiatives, including thought leadership events, white papers and virtual career fairs, to build the cyber talent pipeline.

Renowned SANS instructors teach more than 60 courses at in-person and virtual cyber security training events and on demand. GIAC, an affiliate of the SANS Institute, validates practitioner skills through more than 35 hands-on, technical certifications in cyber security. The SANS Technology Institute, a regionally accredited independent subsidiary, offers a master’s degree, graduate certificates, and an undergraduate certificate in cyber security. SANS Security Awareness, a division of SANS, provides organizations with a complete and comprehensive security awareness solution, enabling them to easily and effectively manage their ‘human’ cybersecurity risk. SANS also delivers a wide variety of free resources to the InfoSec community including consensus projects, research reports, webcasts, podcasts, and newsletters; it also operates the Internet's early warning system–the Internet Storm Center. At the heart of SANS are the many security practitioners, representing varied global organizations from corporations to universities, working together to support and educate the global information security community.
