Embedding People in Security: SANS Institute at Command & Control 2020

Security Awareness Specialist Lance Spitzner to present on the topic of security culture, and how to embed the human into security.

  • February 27, 2020

SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training and certifications, is coming to Munich as a partner of Command Control (CMD CTRL) on 3 and 4 March 2020. As well as having a stand presence at the show, Lance Spitzner from SANS will present on the important topic of security culture at CMD CTRL, which is the largest trade fair for cyber security in Munich.

Lance Spitzner, Head of Security Awareness and Culture at the SANS Institute, will speak on the topic "Leading Change: Build a Security Culture of Protect, Detect and Respond" on 4 March at 11.30 am (Professional Growth Stage Room 4). With more than 20 years of experience in cyber security and pioneering work in the fields of deception and cyber intelligence, Spitzner is one of the world's most recognised experts in security awareness.

"I am very pleased to be part of Command Control talking about security culture." says Spitzner. "The human factor is still too low down the list of considerations when it comes to managing risk. Rapid organisational changes do not leave much room for error, so prioritisation and the holistic implementation of a security culture has become extremely important. It is precisely these aspects that I will bring closer to the audience."

Lance will remain in Munich on 5-6 March to instruct the SANS course: MGT433: SANS Security Awareness: How to Build, Maintain, and Measure a Mature Awareness Program.
