SANS Seattle Security Training Event to Offer Web Application Security Course

Hands-On Immersion Style Training Available for Security Professionals at All Levels

SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced its return to the state of Washington October 30 - November 4. SANS Seattle 2017 will feature seven hands-on information security courses taught by leading industry experts. Included among the courses offered is DEV522: Defending Web Applications Security Essentials which was developed to help make applications much more resilient against attacks by arming students with reactive and proactive security mechanisms.

According to SANS Instructor and author of the DEV522 course, Jason Lam (@jasonlam_sec), "Web applications typically leverage multiple technologies to give the user the full dynamic experience. HTML5, REST API, Single Sign On are some of the technologies at play for delivering great user experience. DEV522 touches all these topics to make sure current or next applications are as secured as possible. Students will leave this course with the practical skills and understanding of the defensive strategies to lock down existing applications and build more secure applications in the future."

SANS Seattle 2017 will offer a variety of security courses covering information security, incident response and forensics, security management and developer.
