  • August 31, 2016

SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced the agenda for SANS Miami 2016 taking place November 7 - 12. Hands-on immersion style training courses and bonus evening discussions will offer insight into the tools and techniques attackers are using and how to combat them. Included among the evening speakers is Cylance Senior Threat Researcher and SANS Instructor, Anuj Soni, who will present Need for Speed: Malware Edition.

According to Soni, "Performing malware analysis can be a thrilling activity, but it can also be time-consuming and tedious. Join me at SANS Miami where I'll use real malware samples to propose strategies to accelerate the malicious code analysis process. Whether new to this topic area or familiar with its challenges, this discussion is sure to provide attendees with a new appreciation for reverse engineering."

SANS Miami will feature courses for highly seasoned InfoSec professionals and those new to the field. For beginners, SANS will offer its popular SEC301: Intro to Information Security and SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style courses. Courses for more seasoned professionals include SEC504: Hacker Tools, Techniques, Exploits and Incident Handling, FOR508: Advanced Digital Forensics and Incident Response (taught by Soni) and MGT514: IT Security Strategic Planning, Policy and Leadership.
